How many orthodontists are also oral surgeons?  “In the whole country?” says Dr. Frank Ieurno a bit sheepishly,“maybe 50.” Ten years ago he left the on-call life of an emergency surgeon and returned to medical school to become an orthodontist.  Now he donates his surgical skills through the Virginia Dental Association’s Mission of Mercy project and at the Goochland Free Clinic.“It’s staggering that only ten miles from the Short Pump Mall, we see patients with zero access to care. It feels good to give back.”
