As chief gadgetologist and merrymaker extraordinaire, Lisa crafts urban treasure-hunts for Ravenchase Adventures using riddles, codes, puzzles, and ciphers. “It’s the DaVinci Code, meets National Treasure, meets The Amazing Race,” the company co-owner muses. She plants clue-bearing actors and invisible-ink messages along the trail, but Lisa insists every game is solvable. “We’ve done corporate teambuilding, milestone birthdays, even a James Bond spy adventure in Greece with the winning team whisked off in a helicopter.” Founded here in 2006 by Joshua Czarda, Lisa and her business partner Chris quickly became avid Ravenchase fans. When Czarda relocated to open a Honolulu branch, the players took over the company’s Mid-Atlantic region. This month, Lisa is plotting the Great Richmond Region Adventure, a public hunt sponsored by the Richmond Metropolitan Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
