My best bargain find: I looked high and low for a Chandler & Price Letterpress and found one in my hometown, in an old barn…free.
My hometown: Sharon, Vermont.
Words I live by: Measure twice, cut once.
I am most proud of: Pocket Creative, Inc. My little company.
My passion: Creating unique and tactile designs using a computer and a letterpress printer—two tools from vastly different eras.
What keeps me awake at night: My trade-school idea. Let’s get out from behind the desk and teach skills like timber-framing, upholstery, blacksmithing, masonry, and letterpress printing to name a few.
One thing I never want to do again: Drug-free childbirth.
Something most people don’t know about me: I’ve kept every letter mailed to me since I can remember.
My mother always said: “ I can’t believe you’re my child!” I was a neurotic clean freak growing up in house full of hippies.
Right now I’m reading: Craft Inc. by Meg Ilasco Favorite Website: briarpress.org The most important thing I ever lost: My Father at Disney World when I was six. Last major purchase: A 1909 guillotine paper cutter--so beautifully terrifying to operate. I wish I’d known: Save your quarters; you’ll never get past level 3 in Pac Man. I can’t live without: Black Uni-Ball micro pens.
I still can’t get the hang of: Asking for help.
The food I could eat every day: Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts
